So I finally got to see “No Country for Old Men” on Sunday. Great, great film! Javier Bardem, an Oscar well deserved! I will say that I like “There Will be Blood” better, and I still think it should’ve won best picture (and best director), but hey, No Country was really good so I’m not too bitter.
I also had a podiatrist appointment today. My old podiatrist retired so I had this new woman who seemed really nice. I told her I thought I was getting another bunion on my left foot this time, and she had barely even looked at my foot and was asking about when I wanted to come in for surgery. This surgery will be less extreme than my last one. Last time I had bunion surgery, they actually removed a wedge of the bone in my big toe and had to put some screws in. This time, it’s not too advanced so all they’ll have to do is just shave off some of the bone on the side and the top where it’s starting to make a bump. They’re basically just going to reshape the bone in my big toe. I’m not sure how that is going to prevent it from coming back, but there happened to be a poster on bunion surgery in my exam room, and that procedure was the very first thing listed. I probably won’t have it until the end of May though, after my sister’s graduation. Wow, Katie’s about to be a part of the real world. I’m not sure if I should be jealous or not. I’m really enjoying college life. Especially the part where my parents still pay my bills (and I’m still on their insurance).
Well, my popcorn’s done so I’m going to go finish catching up on Grey’s Anatomy. Mmm, stove top popcorn. Today’s toppings: salt and paprika. Mmm…

Wow, bunions. I think I’ve lost my appetite for popcorn for awhile.
